EverydayPDF DSC Signing (Windows)
=================================

Sign PDFs with your Class-3 DSC USB token, right from your browser.

WHY THIS IS NEEDED
------------------
A web page cannot talk to a USB token directly. This tiny helper lets
EverydayPDF use your token — the same idea as the emsigner tool you already
use for the Income-Tax portal. It uses only built-in Windows features:
no Node.js, nothing to compile, no settings.

YOUR DOCUMENT NEVER LEAVES YOUR COMPUTER. Your token shows its own PIN
prompt when signing, exactly as usual.

HOW TO USE (2 minutes, once)
----------------------------
1. Unzip this folder anywhere (e.g. your Desktop).
2. Double-click "Start DSC Signing.cmd"
      - If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" box, click
"More info" then "Run anyway". (This is normal for new tools.)
      - A small window opens and says it is running. Leave it open.
3. Plug in your DSC token.
4. Go to EverydayPDF -> "Sign with DSC Token". It connects automatically.
Choose your certificate and click Sign. Your token asks for its PIN.

WANT IT ALWAYS ON?
------------------
Double-click "Install-Autostart.cmd" once. After that the helper starts
quietly every time you turn on your PC — you never have to open it again.

TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------
- "No certificate found": make sure your token's own software (that came with
your ProxKey / ePass) is installed and the token is plugged in.
- Still stuck? Ask your DSC vendor or office IT to run "Start DSC Signing.cmd"
once — it is a standard, safe helper.

Supported tokens: ProxKey, ePass2003, SafeNet, Watchdata, Gemalto/IDPrime and
any token whose certificate appears in the Windows certificate store.
